• Our local Volunteer Fire Brigade holds an annual Awards evening at the OAEC. We would certainly recommend it as a great place to hold a variety of functions. The flat floor space means you can set it up however you want. The staff are more than helpful, and our caterers loved the kitchen as well. The stage and AV equipment was essential for our function, we had big screen's to show our commematorive videos and the sound quality was out of this world.

  • This is a fantastic venue to hold the annual Hospice Charity Ball. We used the separate Foyer area for guests to mix and mingle on arrival. We decorated the main part to suit our theme and had lavish table settings for 200 for a served meal. We had room to put down a dance floor and the band took the stage.

  • A wonderful space to hold our three day Embroidery Conference. We all meet in the Auditorium, have a small exhibition in the Foyer then have 15 embroidery workshops using breakout rooms. We have an opening function Friday night, dinner Saturday evening and lunches each day, all at the same venue, it works well

  • Event Designers have used the Centre for weddings, trade shows and formal award nights. It is versatile and very functional, great for large events. I would recommend the venue to anyone seeking brand new, purpose built and aesthetically pleasing for any events

  • We have held Quiz Nights as well as our 60th Reunion in the Centre. We use the AV and sound equipment, the tables and chairs - everything is on tap and very reasonable prices. I would highly recommend the venue for both casual or more upmarket events
